Golf Club offers beginners lessons to ladies New Jersey National Golf Club, Basking Ridge, invites women to swing into spring with its Ladies’ Golf Clinics for beginners and experienced golfers. Clinics provide three hours of instruction and will focus on the fundamentals of the game, including grip, stance, posture, alignment, putting, chipping, the full swing and on-course instruction. In addition to instruction and on-course play, proper golf etiquette and the rules of golf will be topics of discussion. Women may hone their skills on the 24-tee driving range, the 10,000 square foot putting green and a custom-made green for chipping and bunker practice. read more

MATTOON — Sarah Bush Lincoln’s 19th annual golf benefit is scheduled for June 6 at Meadowview Golf Course in Mattoon. The golf outing will benefit three programs aimed at improving the lives of children. The programs include Women and Children FIRST Dental Program, which provides dental screens to thousands of children throughout a 10-county area.
